Reese (Cherissa) Krajniak

Managing Director, Senior Attorney

Reese Krajniak graduated Marquette University with a B.A. in Sociology. Reese then went on to Law School and graduated from FCSL December of 2009 with Honors, where she was involved in the Pro Bono Clinic, donating over 200 legal hours to the under-served community in the areas of Immigration and Public Benefits including Social Security Benefits. While taking on a more than a full-time course load and completing her clinic hours, Reese graduated early in her class being one of the only students completing her studies in a little over two years. Reese then went on to passing the bar exam in 2010 and became a licensed practicing attorney. She opened her own practice in 2010 in downtown Chicago, and because of her entrepreneurial spirit, she had a thriving legal practice for several years.

After some medical issues, a long recovery, and some soul searching, Reese opened up Krajniak Law Group in 2016. She now practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Family Law, and Tax Preparation. She is very active in the local chamber of commerce, Chamber 630, where she was recently recognized for her drive, professionalism, and community involvement. Reese was named one of the five with drive 2018 Young Professional of the Year with Chamber 630! She also was nominated and sworn into their Board of Directors in October of 2019. That same year, Reese and her husband began the process of acquiring a license to become foster parents in Illinois.

Starting in 2020, the Krajniaks fostered their first group of siblings, learning how to be parents to an infant and two school-aged children in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Outside of caring for children in the foster program, Reese has a very active personal lifestyle and enjoys roller skating, yoga, hiking, camping, off-road riding, and motorcycle/off-road/automotive racing. Reese has a passion for British cars, especially classic Minis. She is a member of the Chicago Mini Motoring Club and is active as well in the Illinois Sports Owners Association. She also co-founded a driving club called Midwest Motoring that embraces vintage classic sports cars and their history in racing. She currently owns a 1974 Classic Mini and a 1964 Triumph Spitfire.
